Shettima pays condolence visits to families of Ahmadu Kurfi, Zakari Ibrahim

Vice President Kashim Shettima has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Alhaji Ahmadu Kurfi (Maradin Katsina) and that of late Ambassador Ibrahim Zakari (Talban Katsina).

Kurfi died passed away on November 21 at the age of 93 while Ibrahim died on November 17..

During the visit to Kurfi’s family in Katsina, the Vice President delivered President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s condolences, and expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family, acknowledging the significant contributions of the late Magajin Garin Katsina to Nigeria’s democratic development.

Alhaji Kurfi served as the Executive Secretary of the defunct Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO) during the Second Republic.

The Vice President described the late Alhaji Kurfi as a distinguished Nigerian who served his country with dedication and integrity in various capacities.

At the residence of the late Ambassador Zakari Ibrahim, the VP also offered his condolences on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government.

The Vice President, upon arrival at the family home, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Ambassador Zakari, who died recently at the age of 81.

The late diplomat, who served as the Director General of the Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA), was remembered for his exemplary service to the nation.

During the visit, Shettima described the late Talban Katsina as a patriot whose contributions to Nigeria’s diplomatic corps and intelligence community left an indelible mark on the nation’s history.
