
Seventeen members of the House of Representatives have defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
Their defections were announced on the floor of the House during plenary on Tuesday.
This is coming 24 hours after former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, and his Kano State counterpart Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso dumped the ADC for the NDC.
Those who joined the NDC from ADC are: Yusuf Datti (Kano), Uchenna Okonkwo (Anambra), Adamu Wakili (Kano), Thaddeus Attah (Lagos), George Ozodinobi (Anambra), Lilian Orogbu (Anambra), Oluwaseyi Sowunmi (Lagos), and Peter Aniekwe (Anambra).
Others are Mukhtar Zakari (Kano), George Oluwande (Lagos), Munachim Umezuruike (Rivers), Emeka Idu (Anambra), Jesse Onuakalusi (Lagos), Ifeanyi Uzokwe (Anambra), Afam Ogene (Anambra) and Abdulhakeem Ado (Kano).
Rep Leke Abejide however moved from the ADC to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
