Abdullahi Aminchi College of Advanced Studies matriculates new students

  • FUDMA VC urges students to abide by college’s rules and regulations

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Dutsinma (FUDMA), Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi has warned the newly matriculated students of the Abdullahi Aminchi College of Advanced Studies Funtua to abide by the rules anf regulations of the institution.

He also warned them to desist from engaging in exam malpractice, indecent dressing, cultism and any form of immortality.

The Abdullahi Aminchi College of Advanced Studies Funtua is an affiliate College of FUDMA. Both institutions are located in Katsina State.

The VC made the call during the matriculation ceremony of the 2022/2023 students at the College in Funtua.

He said the university and the college would not tolerate any act of indispline and indecency.

“The degree of Federal University Dutsinma can only be awarded to those students found worthy both in character and learning,” he said.

The Provost of the College Dr.Mustapha A. Al-misry congratulated the matriculated students.

He said “Out of about 2,000 applicants only 700 were successful and admitted to study various degree programmes of the Federal University Dutsinma.”

The provost urged the students to work hard so that they would graduate with flying colors at the end of their studies.

The SA Higher Education, Katsina State, represented by the the Provost Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsinma, Dr.Ismaila Ado Funtua, said Katsina is always ready to assist the College to ensure the success of it’s various programmes.

He also said Katsina State is encouraging public -private partnership because it is one of the ways of ensuring the development of the educational sector.

Sarkin Maska and District Head of Funtua Alh. Idris Sambo, represented by the Magajin Makera, Alh.Musa Nuhu, appreciated the effort of the College Provost and the VC FUDMA for ensuring that the affiliation is a reality.

He said “All the people of Funtua are waiting for this kind of opportunity of an institution that would run a degree programmes, so now we have this opportunity.”.

Dr.Salisu Hassan, who was interviewed by our correspondent after the matriculation ceremony, called for the accreditation of more programmes of the University in the College.

Among the entourage of the Vice Chancellor of FUDMA who attended the matriculation ceremony were the Acting Registrar, Deans’ of Education, Science and Humanities and Director of Continuing Education of the University.
