2027: APM unveils Bauchi governorship candidate, running mate

Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on Thursday joined stakeholders and supporters of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) to unveil the party’s 2027 election ticket.

APM officially presented Dr. Yakubu Adamu, Bauchi State’s immediate past Commissioner of Finance, as its governorship candidate and Hon. Mahmood Babamaji Abubakar as his running mate.

Speaking at the event, Gov Mohammed announced that he had accepted the party’s nomination as senatorial candidate for Bauchi South.

“This development reflects our collective determination to strengthen unity within the party, expand our support base, and position ourselves for success in the 2027 elections,” he wrote.

Dr. Adamu, in his remarks, pledged to sustain and build on the state’s developmental strides. He emphasized inclusive leadership, continuity in governance, and greater collaboration among party members.

He also appealed to former aspirants and supporters to set aside differences and work together for Bauchi State’s progress.

The governorship candidate reaffirmed his commitment to infrastructure development, economic growth, youth empowerment, and social welfare programmes aimed at improving citizens’ lives.

Governor Mohammed thanked party faithful for their loyalty and urged them to remain steadfast as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.

“I expressed my gratitude to all party faithful for their unwavering loyalty, dedication, and support. I urged everyone to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party and its candidates as we continue our journey toward a brighter and more prosperous future for Bauchi State,” he said.
