5 Kano student union leaders die in Katsina road accident

The National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) has ordered a 3-day mourning over the death of five student union leaders from Kano in an accident in Katsina.

Some of the deceased students have been identified as Tahir A. Dalhatu and Abubakar Usman Abubakar.

This is contained in a statement signed by Public Relation Officer NANS Zone A Mikail Abdullahi on Thursday.

“We received the news of the demise of five of our students from Kano axis of NANS, majority students of Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kumbotso, following a ghastly motor accident while on their way to Katsina to attend a function.

“Man can not question the act of God Almighty, October 28 remain a day to remember, as such, NANS zone A under the leadership of Comrade Adamu Kichinga declare a 3-day mourning.

“In view of this, we urge all Students Union Government across the zone to open a condolence register in their various secretariat and all Aluta flags down.

“May Allah grant them eternal mercy and their families the fortitude to bear these losses.”
