The International Forum for Peace and Diplomacy (IFPD) has announced the appointment of Nigerian entrepreneur and humanitarian Ambassador Halimat Sadiya Hadi as Director for Humanitarian Affairs & Social Impact.
IFPD described the move as a reflection of its commitment to advancing humanitarian action across Africa.
In her new role, Hadi will provide strategic leadership in shaping and implementing IFPD’s humanitarian and social impact initiatives.
She will lead efforts to strengthen partnerships with governments, development agencies, and civil society while promoting innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions to improve livelihoods and support vulnerable populations.
The appointment comes at a critical time, IFPD stated, as communities across the continent face complex challenges ranging from displacement and poverty to climate-related crises.
Hadi’s mandate will focus on advancing resilience-building programs, community empowerment, and advocacy for policies addressing root causes of humanitarian challenges.
“I am deeply honoured to be appointed as Director of Humanitarian Affairs & Social Impact at IFPD,” Hadi said. “This role represents far more than a title—it is a call to service, a responsibility I carry with purpose, and a commitment to driving meaningful, lasting change.”
She emphasised her passion for advancing initiatives that empower communities, amplify voices, and create sustainable impact across Africa and beyond.
“At a time when the world needs compassion, collaboration, and action, I am ready to contribute my skills, experience, and dedication to humanitarian development and social transformation.”
Hadi is the founder and CEO of HalHaD International Limited, with interests in procurement, supply chain, hospitality, construction, and real estate. She also operates the HalHaD Foundation, which empowers young people, women, and widows through education and skills development.
“I am truly grateful for the trust placed in me by the leadership of IFPD. This opportunity marks the beginning of a greater journey, one rooted in impact, service, and purpose. The work begins now,” she added.
IFPD expressed confidence that her expertise and leadership will significantly enhance the organisation’s impact in fostering a more resilient and equitable Africa.
