Minister inspects facilities for North-West Development Commission take-off in Kano

The Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu, has commenced a two-day working visit to Kano to inspect facilities designated for the operational take-off of the North-West Development Commission.

The visit began on Thursday, May 14, 2026, with tours of sites provided by the MAAUN Group and BUA Group, which are being prepared as the Commission’s temporary headquarters and its Kano State office respectively.

The delegation also inspected a site donated by the Kano State Government earmarked for the construction of the Commission’s permanent headquarters.

Ahmadu said the inspection marks a significant milestone in establishing the Commission’s physical presence and reinforces efforts to ensure the timely commencement of its mandate to drive socio-economic development in the North-West region.

He commended the MAAUN Group, BUA Group, and the Kano State Government for their support, noting that their contributions reflect a shared vision for sustainable growth, regional integration, and accelerated development across the North-West.
