Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has expressed deep concern over a distressing video circulating on social media showing two elderly citizens from Kebbi State in terrorist captivity.
The victims, identified as Alhaji Muhammad Mai Barga Besse and Alhaji Yahaya Bili, appeared in the footage appealing for urgent rescue.

The former Justice Minister offered prayers for the victims, asking Almighty Allah to grant them strength, preserve their health, and ensure their safe and speedy return home.
Turning his attention to state actors, Malami urged relevant security agencies and government authorities to intensify their efforts to secure the immediate and safe release of the two elderly men.
He emphasized that the protection of lives remains a fundamental responsibility of the state, demanding that every necessary measure be deployed to rescue the victims and reunite them with their families.
He assured the affected families that his thoughts and prayers remain firmly with the victims and everyone impacted by the unfortunate situation.
