Former Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, has commended efforts to empower women at a community meeting held in Anguwan Kaura, Zaria, on Saturday, 28th June 2026.
The event, organized by the AlQibla Charity Foundation Support for Dallatun Zazzau 2027, focused on building women’s capacity and promoting self-reliance.
In a statement after the program, Yero, who is now the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kaduna North, said he was “truly delighted to witness this initiative.” He singled out the convener, Haj. Aisha Jibrin Goma, for praise.
“I commend her for her dedication and commitment to such a noble cause, especially at this time,” he stated.
Also in attendance was Hon. Shuaibu Abdullahi Mai Canter, Council Secretary of Zaria Local Government, who was at the meeting alongside members of his entourage.
Yero thanked all participants for turning out for the program. He prayed for its success and for attendees to return home safely.
“May Allah grant us success and allow us to part on good terms. Ameen. I pray that everyone returns home safely and in good health,” he said.
