
Fagge Restore Community has formally honored the State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano Strategic Command, CN DY Lawal, in recognition of his steadfast commitment to curbing substance abuse in the Fagge area and across Kano State.
The event celebrated the NDLEA command’s sustained operations and public awareness programs aimed at reducing drug abuse and protecting vulnerable members of the community. In a message conveyed during the event, Mal Idris Umar Fagge, leader of the delegation from Fagge Restore Community, commended CN DY Lawal and his team for their tireless efforts and the results achieved so far.
“We are grateful for the command’s proactive interventions and the awareness initiatives that have been promoted in our community,” Mal Idris Umar Fagge said. “The fight against substance abuse is a collective responsibility. Fagge Restore Community reaffirms its continued support for the NDLEA’s efforts to keep our people safe and drug-free.”
In response, CN DY Lawal expressed appreciation for the community’s involvement and stressed that community-level action is essential to the overall success of anti-drug efforts. He assured residents of the NDLEA’s ongoing commitment to the safety and security of Fagge and Kano State at large.
“The partnership between security agencies and local communities is vital,” CN DY Lawal said. “We welcome and value the support of Fagge Restore Community and will continue to work with residents to sustain gains in the fight against substance abuse.”
Fagge Restore Community reiterated its pledge to remain actively engaged in public sensitization, prevention initiatives, and support for rehabilitation efforts, recognizing that addressing substance abuse requires collaboration between government agencies, community organizations, families, and individuals.
