Nine people have reportedly been killed in a road traffic crash involving a Mazda car and a Toyota Sienna on the Kutigi-Mokwa-Bida Road in Niger State.
The accident occurred between Lanle and Shabe Woro, according to eyewitness accounts cited by Lapai TV.
Reports indicate the Mazda was traveling from Minna towards Mokwa when it entered a blind bend and collided head-on with the Toyota Sienna coming from Lagos towards Minna.
The impact of the collision reportedly left all nine occupants dead at the scene.
Neither the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) nor the Niger State Police Command has commented on the accident as of the time of filing this report.
The Kutigi-Mokwa-Bida Road is a major federal highway linking the North-Central to the South-West and has recorded several fatal crashes in recent years, with motorists often citing poor visibility on bends, speeding, and bad road sections as contributing factors.
Road safety authorities have repeatedly urged drivers to avoid night travel, observe speed limits, and exercise caution on blind bends, especially on inter-state routes.
