Gov Radda hails N30m donation, community empowerment drive in Musawa

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has assured the people of Musawa and Matazu of sustained government investment in security, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure and youth empowerment.

Governor Radda gave the assurance on Sunday in Musawa at a community relief and empowerment programme organised with stakeholders and Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad, Dujiman Katsina.

The event featured the launch of the Musawa Development Initiative, MDI. MDI was established by indigenes of Musawa to support communities affected by insecurity and drive sustainable development.

Governor Radda distributed 500 motorcycles, agricultural inputs, financial assistance and relief materials to beneficiaries across Musawa and Matazu.

He hailed Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad for his N30 million donation and the motorcycle distribution, describing it as a major boost to grassroots empowerment.

The Governor also commended other donors from Musawa and Matazu for providing food items, agricultural inputs and relief materials to affected families.

He welcomed Hon. Abdullahi’s pledge to support the Community Watch Corps in the two LGAs, noting that stronger community-based security will protect lives, property and livelihoods.

“Our administration will continue to prioritise areas that directly improve the wellbeing of our people. We urge beneficiaries to use this support productively,” Governor Radda said. He also called for unity, peaceful coexistence and cooperation.

The Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hon. Hannatu Musa Musawa, urged Musawa residents to remain united to achieve desired development.

Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad thanked the Governor for his commitment to grassroots development, saying, “Your Excellency, you did not plant a fake crop,” in reference to the administration’s results.

Other speakers included the Chairman of Musawa LGA, Hon. Gingin; Hon. Ibrahim Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi; Hon. Lawal H. Yaro Awe; Chairman of Gwagware Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Musawa; and representative of Musawa District Heads, Alhaji Sagir Abdullahi Inde. They all commended the Governor’s leadership and the empowerment drive.

The event was attended by former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa; Chief of Staff, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; Principal Private Secretary, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; and members of the Katsina State Executive Council.
