FRSC bids farewell to ACM Ogungbemide

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Sunday held an emotional farewell ceremony for Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Olusegun Ogungbemide, who retired from the Corps after years of dedicated service.

The event was led by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, alongside the Management Team and members of the FRSC family at the National Headquarters, Abuja.

Until his retirement, ACM Ogungbemide served as the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of the Operations Department at the FRSC National Headquarters.

In that capacity, he was credited with strengthening the Corps’ operational effectiveness, professionalism and its core mandate of ensuring road safety across the country.

In a tribute, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed described Ogungbemide’s years of service as impactful, noting that his wealth of experience, leadership and commitment had left an enduring footprint on the Corps.

“You may retire from the Corps, but your legacy will continue to live within it,” Mohammed said, adding that the FRSC celebrates an officer “who gave his best in service to the nation.”

The Corps Marshal and Management wished ACM Ogungbemide fulfilment, good health and greater accomplishments in the years ahead as he begins a new chapter beyond the uniform.

“Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for the legacy,” the statement concluded.

ACM Ogungbemide’s retirement adds to the list of senior officers exiting the Corps in 2026 after decades of service to Nigeria’s road safety sector.
