NANS JCC visits NDLEA Kaduna, seeks collaboration against drug abuse

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC), Kaduna State Axis, on Wednesday, 26th August, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kaduna State Command.

The delegation, led by its Chairman, Comrd. Bilyaminu Muhammad Thabit, said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the student body and the Agency, particularly in enhancing security and addressing the challenges of drug abuse among students in tertiary institutions across the State.

The delegation further expressed the need to work hand in hand with the NDLEA in areas of drug abuse prevention, sensitisation and other initiatives that would promote a safe and drug-free campus environment.

The State Commander, CN Maijama’a Muhammad, welcomed the delegation and assured them of the Command’s readiness to collaborate and support the student body in its efforts towards promoting security and a drug-free society. He also highlighted the mandate of the Agency and encouraged the establishment and strengthening of Drug-Free Clubs in schools and campuses.
