The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Bauchi State Command, has secured another successful conviction of a male drug offender, Joseph Efe, 50 years old, following his arrest and prosecution for unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
Joseph Efe was arrested on 14 December 2025 at Matrix Filling Station, Yelwa Road, Bauchi, Bauchi State, where he was found in possession of 446 blocks of Cannabis sativa, weighing a total of 270 kilograms.
Following diligent investigation, prosecution and presentation of evidence before the competent court, the accused was found guilty and subsequently convicted in accordance with the law.
The successful conviction further demonstrates the unwavering commitment of the NDLEA Bauchi State Command, under the leadership of the Commander of Narcotics, CN Hassan Yaqub, to intensify the fight against illicit drug trafficking and ensure that drug offenders are brought to justice.
The Command reiterates its warning that Bauchi State is no safe haven for illicit drug dealers, urging those involved in the illegal drug trade to desist or face the full weight of the law
