The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Taraba State Command, has arrested three suspected members of a house-breaking gang during a routine motorised patrol and stop-and-search operation at Lankaviri Checkpoint, Jalingo.
The suspects, identified as Ahmad Nura, 19; Jafar Mohammed, 18; and Joshua Ishaya, 20, were intercepted on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, while allegedly travelling out of Jalingo towards Yola.
A search conducted by NDLEA operatives led to the recovery of 3 laptops, 3 iPhones, 10 Android phones, 4 power banks and 1 MP3 player.
During preliminary investigation, the suspects allegedly admitted to being involved in breaking into houses within Jalingo and stealing valuables.
The three suspects and the recovered items are being handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and appropriate legal action, in view of the nature of the alleged offences.
The NDLEA Taraba State Command has urged residents and students who may have recently been victims of house-breaking or theft to report to the Police.
