2027: Tinubu’s reforms yielding results, require consolidation – Tompolo

Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, has said the reforms of President Bola Tinubu’s administration are yielding results but that the president will require more time for consolidation, hence the need to reelect him in 2027.

He stated this in Damaturu, Yobe State, on Friday, during the unveiling/launch of campaign vehicles donated to the state chapter of the APC by the Movement, for grassroots mobilisation for the success of the party in the state.

Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, said: “President Bola Tinubu’s policies have been wonderful. They have helped our governors to have more money for projects. They have put more money in the states than ever before.

“Today, your state governors have money to execute projects, your governors don’t owe salaries and pensions and that is because of the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu which are yielding results.”

The Grand Patron, who was represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, Kester Pondi, likened reforms to road rehabilitation, pointing out that it comes with challenges but when done, “everyone enjoys the usage of the road.”

Continuing, he said the results of the reforms were already evident in areas like local government autonomy and increased revenue to states.

“We are telling you that if you want these reforms which have made local government autonomy and steady salary payment possible to be consolidated, you must vote president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Reelect the president for continuous reforms that will stand the test of time,” Tompolo added.

Earlier, National Coordinator of the Movement, Sunday Asuku, while thanking the people of the state for their support so far, urged them to resist the opposition, which according to him, are out to deceive Nigerians.

“The landgrabbers are out to deceive Nigerians again but we have come to tell you that collectively, we should tell them a resounding no. There is no vacancy in Aso Rock Villa, Aso Rock is for President Tinubu,” he stated.

Asuku, while reeling out the gains of president Tinubu’s reforms, emphasised the increased allocation to states from the federation account, which, he pointed out, is responsible for the good roads, houses, water, light and other infrastructure they now enjoy.

“He (Tinubu) has done a lot and we must give him more time to do more so that we can continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

“Mobilise from door-to-door, street-to-street, area-to-area, farm-to-farm, settlement-to-settlement and vote APC from top to bottom,” he added.

In his remarks, Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, who doubles as the deputy director general of the APC Campaign Council, commended the PBAT Movement for helping to make his job easier.

Buni, who was represented by the deputy governor, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, said there was no need to campaign for the APC in Yobe as the state was 100 per cent behind President Tinubu.

He assured the movement of victory for Tinubu, saying Yobe has already restructured its campaign machinery from state to ward level in preparation for the polls.

Highpoint of the event was the distribution of campaign vehicles and materials to support the door-to-door campaign in the state.
