For the second time in five months, former Minister of Defence, retired Lt Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma has visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.
The Wednesday meeting held behind closed doors and neither Danjuma nor the presidency has said anything on the visit.
Dateline Nigeria however reports that the National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF), which Danjuma heads, had few days back insisted on the renegotiation of Nigeria.
The forum, in a resolution titled ‘#EndSARS – It is time to renegotiate Nigeria’, said “The time is ripe for Nigeria to be re-negotiated. The political imbalance in the country has produced nothing but sorrow, poverty, and death for Nigerians. The unjust and sectional political structure left behind by the British colonialists is no longer sustainable.”
The forum also called for a full National Assembly inquiry into the causes of death and destruction that trailed the peaceful #EndSARS protests.
