The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano has suspended, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada.
The lawmaker was suspended via a letter signed by the party ward Chairman and Secretary, at Sharada, Kano Municipal, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar and Auwalu Saidu Muhammad respectively
Sharadda was accused of antiparty activities and character assassination of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
The party leadership at his ward level said in the letter addressed to the APC Chairman at Municipal council that the sanction was adopted after its emergency meeting in Kano.
It said the suspension was sequel to a petition received from APC supporters from Sharada ward on June 8th, 2021.
The letter stated that a seven-man disciplinary committee was set up and given seven days to submit a report on the petition.
It added that Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada was also found guilty also of character assassination against the party executives at the ward, local government and state level.
The committee report indicted the former Adviser on Broadcast Media to President Muhammad Buhari, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, and was suspended for a year, according to the suspension letter.
