Gunmen have abducted many female students from the Federal Government College, Yauri in Kebbi State.
The gunmen stormed the school in the early hours of Thursday where they killed a security agent and left with operational vehicles of the security agents.
An eyewitness told the BBC that the gunmen overpowered the security agents guarding the school before seizing the Hilux vehicles in which they put the female students.

A team of 11 policemen were guarding the school when the gunmen arrived. Another batch of 11 policemen were deployed
Some people also said a number of the students were taken to the hospital as a result of gunshot wounds.
A member of the House of Representatives from the area Muhammad Bello Ingaski told the BBC that the gunmen abducted both male and female students. .
‘The gunmen overpowered the over 20 mobile policemen guarding the school. They shot some and inflicted machete cut on some. They have been taken to the hospital,” he said.
He said some of the students fled into the Bush during the attack and the school authorities are trying to bring them back, hence the number of abducted students cannot be ascertained now.
