State Congress: 2 factional leaders emerge in Kano

Two factional leaders have emerged from the state congress held in Kano State by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The faction led by former Kano state Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, consisting of mainly lawmakers, including three senators, elected Ahmadu Haruna Zago as Chairman.

They held their congress at Janguza in Tofa.

This is even as the faction loyal to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje elected Abdullahi Abbas as its chairman.

Reports said the two factions have accepted their elecrion, further pushing the APC deeper into crisis in the state.
