Kwara gov names Rev. Timothy Akangbe new SA Christianity

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has appointed Reverend Timothy Oluwagbemiga Akangbe as the new Special Assistant on Religious Affairs (Christianity).

Akangbe replaces Reverend Dr. S.O. Adedayo, who passed on recently, Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor, said in a statement on Monday.

The new official, a native of Apado in Ilorin East, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies and and Master’s Degree in Christian Studies from the University of Ibadan and University of Ilorin respectively.

A prominent member of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the appointee has served as a clergyman and teacher at various levels.
