A Kano bride, who was abducted 24-hours to her wedding, has been released, according to a family member.
Amina Gwani Danzarga was found at the Bayero University Kano campus (new site) Tuesday morning, her uncle, Gwani Yahuza, said.
“Somebody called Amina’s mother and told her that the girl was found on BUK road. We quickly went there and found Amina crying”, he said, adding that she has not been speaking since she was found.
On her wedding, which was suspended abruptly as a result of her abduction, he said that can only hold when she is certified fit for it.
Attempts to reach her groom Umar Hassan did not succeed, but he had earlier told Freedom Radio that he had accepted what happened and prayed for her safe return.
