Adamawa gov Fintiri urges Buhari to leave legacy of credible elections

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to leave a legacy by holding credible, free and fair general elections.

Buhari was in Yola, Adamawa State on Monday for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaigns where he expressed solidarity and support for Bola Ahmed Tinibu bid for President and Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani bid for Governor.

The president also paid a courtesy visit to the Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa, at his palace in Yola Town after arriving at the Yola International Airport.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who welcomed President Muhammadu Buhari, in his speech and thanked him for giving requests put forth by the State Government of Adamawa due consideration and approval.

The president has done well, according to Governor Fintiri, who also urged him to leave a lasting legacy by holding credible, free, and fair general elections.

The Lamido Adamawa Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his support of Adamawa State’s development in a number of areas, including taking into consideration and appointing sons and daughters for top positions in the Federal Government and approving the conversion of the former Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) in Yola to a conventional university.

The Lamido also expressed gratitude to the President for approving the transfer of the former Yola Federal Medical Center (FMC) to the Hong Local Government Area, as well as the establishment of a brand new FMC in Mubi.

Lamido Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa, acknowledged the important and significant role the President played in bringing stability to his administration and wished him a peaceful retirement and future success.
