A grassroots politician Mahmud Babaliya Ahmad Aftaka, popularly known as Aftaka, has purchased his nomination and declaration of interest forms to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Misau/Dambam constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The forms cost a total of N600,000 and were obtained on Thursday.
Dateline Nigeria had earlier reported how Aftaka wrote Bauchi PDP stakeholders in January informing them about his ambition.
Aftaka, a two term leading aspirant of the seat in the 2015 and 2019 elections respectively under the All Progressives Congress (APC), defected to the PDP about two years ago where he was received by many supporters.
He pledged to work for the victory of the PDP at all levels come 2023.
