Aisha Buhari mourns ‘friend and sister’ Saratu Daso

Former First Lady of Nigeria and founder of Future Assured Aisha Buhari has mourned the death of famous Kannywood actress Saratu Gidado, also known as Daso.

Daso died early on Tuesday and was buried same day in Kano. She was 56 years old.

In a statement she issued on Wednesday, Aisha Buhari described the late actress as a friend and sister who “served humanity through her craft of arts and impactful entertainment with a difference.”

“On behalf of the Future Assured Team, I will like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of our departed Friend and Sister Hajiya Saratu Gidado (Daso).

“May Allah grant her eternal peace and lighten her Kabri with Nurul-Salam, and grant the families and love ones with strength during this difficult period as you mourn the loss of your close relative. Hajiya Saratu Gidado was a devoted Muslim who lived her life and served humanity through her craft of arts and impactful entertainment with a difference.

“May Allah once again grant her Aljanat Firdausi, and provide solace to the family. Amin”
