Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential ticket, making him the party’s flagbearer in 2023 general elections.
PDP held its presidential primary elections at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja amidst the sudden extension of primaries by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Dateline Nigeria had reported that no fewer than 767 delegates from the 36 states of the federation and the FCT participated in the election.
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, among others contested the election.
