Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has travelled to Europe on business.
The confirmation came amid reports that the PDP flag bearer, who was in Kaduna for the party’s presidential campaign in Kaduna on Monday, had travelled to France for medical reasons.
“The former Vice President travelled last night on a scheduled trip to meet with the technical partners of one his business entities that was impacted by the Covid-19 global lockdown and the consequent economic downturn,” Atiku’s media adviser Paul Ibe said in a statement on Tuesday.
Though the statement did not specify which country Atiku was visiting, Ibe said “The meeting will also focus on conclusive discussions for a planned expansion of its production facility.”
