The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will be arriving London, United Kingdom, today on the invitation of the British government, his media adviser has said.
Paul Ibe said this in reaction to a story by an online newspaper SaharaReporters that the former vice president was sick and has been flown to London from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) for treatment.
“For the avoidance of doubt H.E @atiku, Presidential candidate of the @OfficialPDPNig and former VP of Nigeria, 1999-2007 will be arriving London on Monday, 9th of January for meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday on the invitation of the British Government,” Ibe said on Twitter.

The media adviser did not say if the former vice president was flying to London from Dubai.
