Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has condoled with the family and entire journalists in Jigawa State over the death of Malam Ahmed Abubakar, Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists Jigawa State.
Badaru, in a statement by his spokesman Habibu Nuhu Kila, paid tribute to Abubakar who was the Jigawa State Correspondent of The Sun Newspapers. He was also a former reporter with Daily Trust.

The governor described Malam Ahmed, as fondly called by colleagues, as a promising and dedicated journalist whose contributions to the development of the state in enlightening and educating the public through the medium he represented will for ever be remembered.
Badaru also commiserated with the Management of The Sun Newspaper for the great loss. He prayed to the Almighty to grant him eternal rest.
