Bauchi governor swears in new SSG, CoS, commissioners

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has sworn in new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ibrahim Kashim Imam, Chief of Staff, Dr Aminu Gamawa and his deputy, Bashir Ya’u, as well as Private Principal Secretary (PPS), Pharmacist Samaila Burga.

The appointees were sworn in along with 21 commissioners by the State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar at the new banquet hall of the Government House annex on Thursday.

The commissioners and their portfolios are Abdulkadir Ibrahim (Works and Transport), Garba Dahiru (Commerce and Industry), Abdulhamid Nurudden (Solid Minerals and Natural Resources), Jidauna Tula Mbami (Agriculture), Dayyabu Chiroma (Information and Communications), Ahmed Aliyu Jalam (Water Resources) and Maryan Garba Bagel (Power, Science and Technology).

Others are Umar Babayo Kesa (Religious and Social Welfare), Adamu Manu Soro (Youth and Sports), Asmau Giade (Culture and Tourism), Hajara Gidado (Women Affairs and Child Development), Usman Abdulkadir Modibbo (Finance), Samaila Dahuwa (Health) and Saadatu Bello Kirfi (Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises).

The rest are Aminu Hammayo (Budget and Economic Planning),Yakubu Barau Ningi (Lands and Survey), Hamisu Muazu Shira (Housing and Environment) Abubakar Abdulhamid (Justice), Aliyu Usman Tilde (Education), Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki (Local Government) and Abdullahi Musa (Rural Development and Special Duties).

Governor Bala Mohammed told the new appointees that his administration as well as the entire people of Bauchi state have high expectations on them, hence the need for them to be focused on the discharge of their duties.

He also advised them to discharge their duties with fear of God.

The governor thanked the state assembly for supporting his administration in the task of taking the state to the promised land.
