Senator Shehu Buba Umar (Bauchi South) has sponsored 364 students who wrote JAMB/UTME Exams from seven local government areas of his constituency.
The students wrote the exams today at Alfurqan International Academy Bauchi, after receiving three months rigorous lesson.
Speaking at the end of the exercise in Bauchi, Coordinator of Shehu Buba Education Endowment Support
Alhaji Awwal Umar thanked Allah the Almighty for the opportunity given to the senator to support 364 students from poor families under the endowment.
He promised the students that Senator Shehu Buba would sponsor their education if they pass the examination.
Awwal said the support has nothing to do with politics, because the senator did not know anyone among the beneficiaries.
The coordinator said feeding, transportation and allowances were given to the students during the training and today’s examination.
Two of the benefiaries, who spoke on behalf of the other students, lauded the senator for supporting the less-privileged.
