There are mixed signals coming different government sources over the abducted students.

While two sources told Dateline Nigeria that the students have been released along with others and were on their way to Minna, another source said the students were yet to be released.

“They have not been released yet, but negotiations are ongoing,” said the third source who spoke to Dateline Nigeria during the arrival of the freed NSTA passengers.

Kaduna based Islamic scholar, Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, had said on Saturday that the kidnapped students might be released today following negotiations.
