Dan Iyan Zazzau Alhaji Yusuf Ladan has died at the age of 86 after a protracted illness, one of his sons Abubakar Yusuf Ladan has confirmed.
He died Tuesday morning in his residence in Kaduna. His janaza, led by Dr Ahmad Gumi, held after Zuhr prayers at the Maiduguri Road Jumuah mosque in Kaduna.
Among early sympathisers to his family were former Vice President Namadi Sambo, former Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, Senator Uba Sani, former Head of Service Ahmed Mustapha and veteran broadcaster Inuwa Jibril.
Alhaji Yusuf Ladan, a former district head of Kabala, was a veteran broadcaster and former General Manager of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).
He is survived by many siblings, three wives, 20 children and many grandchildren.
