Buhari posts Olonisakin to Cameroon, Buratai to Benin as ambassadors

President Muhammadu Buhari has posted the former Chief of Defence General Gabriel Olonisakin to Cameroon and former Chief of Army Staff LT Gen Tukur Buratai to Benin Republic as Ambassadors.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama presented Letters of Credence to the two Ambassadors-Designate today in Abuja.

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs during the brief ceremony congratulated the immediate past service chiefs on their appointment by Mr. President and called on them to deploy their wealth of experience to promote Nigeria’s interest during their tour of duty in countries of accreditation,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The statement did not state where former Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ibok- Ette Ibas and former Chief of Air Staff; Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar, as well as former Chief of Defense Intelligence (CDI) Air Vice Marshal Muhammad S. Usman, were posted.
