The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has lifted the foreign exchange restrictions it placed on importers of 43 items.
CBN’s Director of Corporate Communications, Dr. Isa AbdulMumin, announced the new development in a statement on Thursday.
With this development, importers of the under-listed items, will now be eligible to access forex from CBN, something they were restricted from since 2015.

- Wire rods (deformed and not deformed)
- Iron rods
- Reinforcing bars

- Security and razor fencing and poles
- Wood particle boards and panels
- Wood fiberboards and panels

- Glass and glassware
