Justice Christy Dabup of a Plateau State High Court, sitting in Jos has granted a former governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang leave to travel to Dubai to attend to his ailing eyesight.

E.G. Phajok, SAN, Jang’s counsel, had applied to the court, seeking for the release of his client’s international passport, which was submitted to the court in 2014 as part of the bail granted him by retired Justice Daniel Longji.

In a related development, Justice Rilwan Aikawa of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has adjourned until March 23, 2020 further hearing in the alleged N1.4bn fraud trial involving the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro, SAN.

The EFCC first arraigned Usoro before Justice Muslim Hassan of the same court on December 18, 2018.

He was later re-arraigned on March 1, 2019 before Justice Aikawa on a 10-count charge.
