The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that 1,149 new cases of Covid-19 and seven deaths were recorded in the country on Wednesday.
This is according to the daily update posted on the centre’s website on Thursday.

The new cases are reported from 16 states- Lagos (680), Rivers (157), Akwa Ibom (94), Oyo (56), Edo (36), FCT (34), Ogun (31), Ekiti (20), Delta (16), Abia (5), Nasarawa (5), Osun (5), Cross River (4), Plateau (3), Sokoto (2) and Kano (1).
“Till date, 184593 cases have been confirmed, 167738 cases have been discharged and 2236 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” the NCDC said.
