Covid-19: Nigeria records 444 new cases, 7 deaths on Friday

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that a total of 444 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and seven deaths were recorded in the country on Friday, September 3, 2021.

The 444 new cases are reported from 21 states- Edo (71), Akwa Ibom (49), Kwara (49), Oyo (49), Rivers (38), Kaduna (21), Ekiti (20), FCT (19), Anambra (17), Delta (16), Kano (16), Bauchi (14), Ogun (11), Bayelsa (9), Benue (9), Cross River (7), Nasarawa (5), Jigawa (2), Zamfara (2), and Enugu (1).

“Till date, 194088 cases have been confirmed, 179679 cases have been discharged and 2495 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” it said on its website.
