Covid-19: Nigeria records 637 new cases, 7 deaths on Wednesday

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that 637 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 and seven deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Wednesday, the 25th of August 2021.

The 637 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos (322), Rivers (70), Edo (54), Delta (34), Akwa Ibom (31), Kwara (31), FCT (29), Ekiti (17), Ogun (14), Osun (10), Kebbi (8), Cross River (5), Plateau (3), Taraba (3), Kaduna (2), Bayelsa (2), Benue (1), Enugu (1), and Kano (1).

“Till date, 188880 cases have been confirmed, 169382 cases have been discharged and 2288 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” it said.
