Covid-19: Nigeria reports 964 new cases, 27 deaths on Saturday

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that 964 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 27 deaths were recorded in the country on Saturday, September 4, 2021.

The 964 new cases are reported from 20 states- Lagos (456), Ondo (180), Edo (66), Rivers (62), Niger (26), Akwa Ibom (25), Ekiti (22), Kwara (22), Oyo (22), Kaduna (17), Delta (14), Benue (12), Gombe (9), Plateau (9), FCT (8), Jigawa (5), Ogun (4), Bayelsa (2), Nasarawa (2), and Bauchi (1).

“Till date, 195052 cases have been confirmed, 182463 cases have been discharged and 2522 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” the NCDC said on its website.
