The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 12 new deaths as coronavirus cases near 100,000 in the country.
According to the daily tally of the NCDC, 1,544 new cases were recorded on Friday, with Lagos having 739 infections followed by Plateau with 168.
Others are FCT-153, Oyo-91, Nasarawa-90, Rivers-80, Kaduna-35, Edo-33, Kano-29, Ogun-21, Delta-19 and Sokoto-16.
The rest are Akwa Ibom-11, Ebonyi-11, Enugu-10, Osun-10, Niger-9, Bauchi-8, Kebbi-8, Katsina-2 and Taraba-1.
Total cases in Nigeria have now hit 97,478, 78,552 recoveries and 1,342 deaths.
The NCDC also announced that same Friday recoveries include 264 community in Lagos State and 147 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
