Deputy Senate President Barau mourns Kano Rep Mohammed Hassan

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has mourned the passing of Barrister Mohammed Hassan, who represented Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives until his death on Friday in Abuja.

Senator Barau, in a condolence message to the deceased’s family, his constituents, and the entire people of Kano State, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Malam Ismail Mudashir, stated that the death of the lawmaker has left a huge vacuum in the Kano State political landscape.

He described the late federal lawmaker as a dedicated public servant, respected legal practitioner, and committed community leader who served his constituents and the nation with honour, diligence, and integrity.

“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un, I mourn the passing of Hon. Mohammed Hassan. He was a hardworking legal practitioner and lawmaker who distinguished himself in the service of his people and our dear nation. His death is a painful loss not only to Kano State but to the legislature and Nigeria as a whole.

“At this moment of mourning and sorrow, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the people of Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, and the entire Kano State. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus,” he prayed.
