Kano State was agog, on Saturday, when the Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, gave out his daughter in marriage.
The deputy governor’s daughter got married to the son of late Major General Abdul-One Muhammad.
The Groom, Ahmad Abdul-One Muhammad through his representative, Ambassador Dan-Kano, paid N300,000.00 as dowry of his bride, Fatima Nasir Gawuna.

Chief Imam of Al-Furqan mosque, Sheikh, Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar, was the officiator of the event.
Among those who attended the ceremony were former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, former PDP National Chairman Adamu Mu’azu, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alh. Yayale Ahmed, and Defence Minister, Major General Aliyu Magashi (rtd).
Others were Governor Mohammad Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, his predecessor Sule Lamido, former Governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Abdulazeez Yari, Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Muhd Mannir Dan-Iya, members of diplomatic corps, captains of industries, as well as traditional rulers among other prominent personalities.
