Don launches AI system to streamline academic research writing

Thesisprofs has announced the launch of Thesis SpeedWrite, a structured AI-powered platform designed to simplify and reorganize how students and academics approach thesis and dissertation writing.

The system, set to officially debut on June 4, 2026, at the University of Abuja, was developed by Professor Isaiah U. Ilo after years of observing persistent challenges students face with research writing in Nigerian universities.

Unlike conventional AI tools that generate text, Thesis SpeedWrite introduces a guided workflow that takes users through the entire research process — from refining a topic and planning the project to organizing literature, conducting analysis, drafting, and revising — all within a framework aligned with university standards.

“The goal is not simply to help students write faster, but to restore clarity, structure, and academic direction to the entire research process,” the developers said.

Professor Ilo described the platform as a needed intervention for students, supervisors, and institutions grappling with the growing complexity of academic writing in the AI era.

“For years, many students have approached research writing with confusion, fear, and uncertainty, not necessarily because they lack intelligence, but because the process itself has become fragmented and difficult to navigate,” he said. “Thesis SpeedWrite was built to change that. I am excited that we now have a system capable of simplifying the journey for students while also improving supervision, structure, consistency, and academic efficiency within our universities.”

The platform includes integrated tools such as structured planning modules, curated literature systems, guided reading frameworks, and revision support to help users produce more coherent and academically defensible work. It will be accessible via web browser to users in Nigeria and abroad.

A live demonstration will be held at the June 4 launch event at the University of Abuja, showing how users can move from a research topic to a fully organized academic manuscript using the system’s guided workflow.

Early-access registration is already open, with over 500 users on the waitlist. Interested participants can join at https://thesisprofs-org.com/thesis-speedwrite-launch/.
