Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismaila has emerged as the new Hama Bachama to replace the late Honest Irmiya Stephen.
The appointment has since been approved by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, said on Wednesday.
Fintiri congratulated the new Hama Bachama and commended the kingmakers for a peaceful process that informed the choice of Dr. Shaga, adding that as a trained Narcotics Officer and technocrat he has no doubt in his capacity to lead his people right.
“I believe he will build on the legacies of late Honest Stephen who stood tall during his reign in peace building initiatives,” the statement added.
While urging the new monarch to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the Bwatiye Kingdom and the state, Fintiri also appealed to the kingdom to maintain the spirit of peace building and cultural norms of their forefathers.
