He said this while receiving Minister of Works Babatunde Raji Fashola in Kakuri, a border village between Yobe and Jigawa states.

Represented by Secretary to the State Government Baba Malam Wali, Governor Buni commended President Muhammadu Buhari for sending a high powered delegation to the state to assess the road construction.

Responding, the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, said the Federal Government would refund the money expended for the construction of federal roads in Yobe State.

He said the refund would be initiated after the completion of evaluation exercise of the roads.

The minister inspected and assessed the 57km Nguru-Machina and 31km Gashua-Yusufari roads.

Fashola said the Yobe State government has requested for the reimbursement of the amount expended on the construction of the roads.

The Minister said some states got their own refund last year, and his ministry just received another request from some states including Yobe and Kebbi, that they had been omitted in the refund.

Mr Fashola said this is the reason why the president reconstituted a presidential committee with him as chairman.

He therefore thanked Yobe State Governor for sending a very high delegation to receive him.

The Yobe State delegation include: Speaker, Yobe State House of Assembly, Ahmed Lawan Mirwa, Secretary to the State Government Baba Malam Wali, Commissioner Ministry of Works Engr. Umaru Wakil Duddaye, Permanent Secretaries of Works and Local Government Suleiman Bakura and Alh. Baba Ali Muhammad and Chairmen of Nguru and Machina Local Government Council.
