The FCT Police Command, in its sustained efforts to rid the Federal Capital Territory of criminal activities, particularly the sale, abuse and trafficking of illicit drugs, has continued to carry out raid operations across various locations within the FCT.
In a recent raid operation conducted on 2nd September 2026 at Lobito Crescent, Wuse 2, operatives of the FCT Police Command attached to Maitama Division arrested seven (7) suspects, comprising six (6) males and one (1) female, for alleged drug related offences.
Upon their arrest, the suspects were found in possession of various illicit and controlled substances, including dried leaves suspected to be cannabis, packaged in small transparent sachets; several tablets of Tramadol; one bottle of Codeine; and one black polythene bag containing dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis sativa, among others.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
The FCT Police Command calls on residents to shun all forms of criminality, drug abuse and trafficking, and to support ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security within the Territory.
Residents are further encouraged to remain security conscious and promptly report suspicious persons, activities or locations to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08028940883.
