Fintiri receives LCCN delegation, says govt disbursing fertilizer directly to farmers

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), who paid a congratulatory visit to the Government House in Yola.

The governor seized the opportunity to shed light on some impactful initiatives that his administration has undertaken in his unwavering commitment to alleviate the impending hunger that threatens the well-being of the people.

Governor Fintiri said the government has initiated the direct disbursement of high-quality fertilizer to farmers.

This strategic move, facilitated through the Local Government Area Council authorities, aims to enhance food production.

The fertilizer will be made available to farmers at a subsidized rate, fostering an environment conducive to robust agricultural output.

He acknowledged the prevalent challenges of hunger and frustration within society. He assured that his administration remains resolute in its pursuit of effective and compassionate leadership.

With unwavering dedication, the government is tirelessly formulating palliative measures and innovative strategies to alleviate the strain caused by the prevailing economic circumstances.

In line with his visionary approach, the Governor shared details of an ambitious project: the establishment of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) hub in Adamawa State.

This hub is poised to empower the youth, encouraging their innovative spirit and serving as a wellspring of employment opportunities.

Expressing concern over recent incidents of warehouse looting by miscreants, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri called upon the delegation to advocate for a harmonious and law-abiding society.

His administration unequivocally denounces any form of lawlessness and is steadfast in its commitment to uphold the rule of law.

The President of the Lutheran World Federation, Arch Bishop Musa Panti Filibus, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Governor Fintiri on his re-election for a second term.

The Archbishop commended the Governor’s commendable accomplishments, particularly in nurturing peace and stability within the state during his previous tenure.
