The Garrison Commander, 10 Division, Nigerian Army, has paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Taraba State Command.
During the visit, the Garrison Commander acknowledged the significant role of drug abuse in fueling criminality and other social vices, stressing the need for strengthened efforts to address illicit drugs.
He said the visit was aimed at further strengthening the existing cordial relationship between the Nigerian Army and the NDLEA, and pledged full support and commitment to effective collaboration in the interest of peace and security in Taraba State.
Responding, the State Commander of NDLEA Taraba Command welcomed the Garrison Commander and his entourage and highlighted the activities, responsibilities and mandate of the Agency, particularly its efforts in combating illicit drug trafficking and abuse in the state.
The State Commander CN Javanson Talayedi Kwalma appreciated the Nigerian Army for its continued support and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining and strengthening the partnership.
The visit underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation in tackling drug-related crimes and other security challenges in Taraba State.
